While it’s scary to use the word “epidemic” when describing active shootings in the United States, incidents are becoming more frequent. Attack locations are unpredictable—most often occurring in places open to the public with a growing number of people injured or killed during each incident is on the rise. While it is important for employers and organizations need to understand it is not just active shooter incidents they need to prepare for, it's the reality that no place is immune to the possibility ats of violence. Violence can run the gamut from robberies to domestic abuse, to disgruntled employees. 

Prior to conducting this training, we will come to your business or organization and conduct an Active Threat Vulnerability Assessment, develop an active threat plan for your facility and review our recommendations with management prior to training your employees or organization.

Our Active Shooter/Active Threat workshop is lecture based and designed to prepare and recognize a threat situation, how to respond appropriately and immediately if you are ever faced with one. This course covers the warning signs of workplace violence, how to recognize the presence of an active threat, the best course of action to take based on individual abilities and location, and the steps individuals should follow when law enforcement arrives. Training is about an hour and meets the basic compliance requirements for workplace safety.   

Advanced Active Shooter Immediate Response Training (AASIRT) brings together expertise from law enforcement and medical professionals. The content in AASIRT has been specifically adapted for the general public. AASIRT uses a dynamic method to teach you proactive awareness, how to react and physically protect yourself and others in a violent situation, we also teach you how to respond to severe injuries that are often a result of these occurrences that enables you to become an immediate responder by learning emergency stop the bleed techniques.
